Lot of 4 manuscript sermon books, approximately 60 pages total, each octavo, ca. 1860's - 1870's. Sermons such as "The Triumph of Faith", "At Evening-Time It shall Be Light", and "Funeral Sketch For A Child" are preserved in these notebooks intended for penmanship practice. Two of the books have covers with an engraving of George Washington, while the third book has an American eagle, and the fourth carries academic vignettes. Fine condition.
