Herthel", one page, quarto, June 24, 1867, St. Louis, Missouri to J.W. Adams, New York City. Written on the letterhead of the Office of the Western Patent Agency, this letter discusses advanced suspension bridge construction techniques. VF....Plus; Diagram, DETERMINATION OF "CORDS" OF "STIFFENING TRUSS" FOR SUSPENSION BRIDGE, 10 1/2" x 16 1/2", ca. 1860's. An engineering schematic for an early suspension bridge.
