Included are 7 Typed Letters Signed, 2 Documents Signed, one printed circular , and 4 Typed Letters, 14 pages, all quarto, ca. 1906-1919, Panama Canal Zone. Most of this material is on Isthmian Canal Commission or Canal letterheads and concerns the logistics and engineering particulars associated with such the grand project. Signatories include Chairman George Goethals, Chief Engineer John F. Stevens, Division Engineer D.D. Gaillard, and Superintendent of Transportation Hugh Rodman. Aging and small splits, God condition...Plus; 12 full-color images of the Canal and its environs, 7" x 9 1/2". These large post card-like prints show such engineering marvels as flood-gates, the Culebra Cut, the Pedro Miguel Locks. There are also views of Panama City and its environs. Fine condition.
