A archive of nine items from the estate of State of Nevada Bordello owner Beverly Harrell. Ms. Harrell was the Madam of the well known Cottontail Ranch, a Nevada Bordello. Beverly Harrell was a Jewish girl from Brooklyn, a daughter of upper-middle class family, and went to private schools. In the early 1960's she became a dancer, singer and played in shows on Broadway. She went to Hollywood to become a Star and shortly after started a system of calls girls with several young ladies catering to the elite. She opened the Cottontail Ranch in Nevada on October 13, 1967. The Cottontail Ranch is still in business. In 1974 she ran for the Nevada State Assembly. The nine items include a cardboard poster from her 1974 Nevada Assembly political race, a unopened and still sealed record Ms. Harrell recorded on 'How Women Should Treat Men" (probably very interesting listening), three vintage unused books of matches from the Cottontail Ranch, two 1971 newspaper articles about the Richard Nixon administration trying to close the Cottontail Ranch down as it was located on Government land the Beverly Harrell leased from the Government and two other newspaper articles about her 1974 political race for the Nevada Assembly. The cardboard political poster is has a photo of Ms. Harrell and states "VOTE FOR BEVERLY HARRELL, DEMOCRAT FOR STATE ASSEMBLY, DISTRICT 36, NYE - ESMERALDA - MINERAL, FOR HONEST AND IMPARTIAL REPRESENTATION". Someone at the Cottontail Ranch had a sense of humor as one of the match books is printed "STOLEN FROM MADAME BEVERLY HARRELL'S COTTONTAIL RANCH CLUB, WORLD FAMOUS NEVADA BORDELLO". The unopened record is titled "COMING MY WAY" which obviously has sexual connotations. The unopened record with shrink wrap still around it has an image of Madame Beverly Harrell all decked out in feathers and a couple of beautiful young women totally in the nude standing behind her and states in part "MADAM BEVERLY HARRELL, OF THE WORLD FAMOUS COTTONTAIL RANCH GOES ON RECORD WITH NO HOLDS BARRED. THE BORDELLO MADAM WHO RAN FOR THE NEVADA STATE ASSEMBLY TELLS IT LIKE IT IS ABOUT POLITICS, LOVE, SEX AND WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE THE ACTIVE MADAME OF A LEGAL HOUSE OF PROSTITUTION. EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT GOES ON INSIDE A BAGNIOBUT AFRAID TO ASK YOUR HUSBAND OR A WORKING GIRL IS REVEALED HERE BY BEVERLY AS SHE TALKS TO YOU FROM THE INTIMACY OF HER PRIVATE PARLOR AT THE NEVADA RANCH. BEVERLY TELLS WOMEN WHAT THERE DOING WRONG IN THE BOUDOIR AND HOW TO GET MORE ENJOYMENT OUT OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH MEN, ETC.". The cardboard political poster is 12 x 10 inches in size and has some dirt and toning, two of the match books have some matches missing and the newspaper articles have a few hand written notes but overall everything is in nice condition.
