Aaron Burr(1756-1836) earned an unenviable place in American popular memory for his fatal wounding of Alexander Hamilton in their celebrated 1804 duel. After Revolutionary War service, and before his ascent into national politics, Burr practiced law in New York City. Lot of two legal papers bearing Aaron Burr's name. An arrest warrant for one Jonathan Hare on charges of trespassing with damages. Secretarially signed "Burr Aty" twice. Aging and uneven edges, else VG condition.
