DICK, Elisha Cullen (1762-1825) Friend of George Washington, who was one of the two physicians called in consultation by Dr. James Craik, at the time of Washington’s last illness, and with Craik he signed the account of the illness and death which was published in THE TIMES of Alexandria on December 19, 1799. He likewise conducted the Masonic services at Washington’s Funeral. Partly-printed Document Signed, “Elisha C. Dick” as witness to an Indenture between William Thornton Alexander and James Keith, for land in Alexandria, Virginia, 1799. Fold split, else VG. Signature is bold and fine.
