Lot of 16 steel engravings, each 8" x 10 1/2", ca. early 1860's, published by Johnson, Fry & Co., New York City. Included are Presidents Monroe, John Q. Adams, Jackson, Van Buren, W. H. Harrison, Tyler, Taylor, Fillmore, Pierce, and Andrew Johnson. Noted statesmen in the group are Samuel Adams, Charles Francis Adams, and William Seward. Images of Van Buren, Tyler, and Johnson are duplicated. These are all high quality engravings with deep tonal contrasts. Light aging, else choice VF condition.
