EISENHOWER, Dwight David (1890-1969). Supreme Allied Commander, 34th President of the United States, 1953-1961. Types Letter Signed "Dwight Eisenhower". one page, quarto, December 23, 1966, Walter Reed General Hospital, Washington, D.C. to Colonel Red Reeder, West Point, New York. Although written from walter Reed, this letter is typed on Ike's personal monogrammed stationery from his home in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It reads: "Thank you for your thoughtfulness in sending me a copy of your book 'The Story of the Spanish-American War'. I am greatly improved and expect soon to be back to my normal pursuits. With best wishes for a happy Holiday Season and throughout the year.". Bold signature, Very Fine condition.
