Fancy printed on parchment 16 x 19 certificate dated May 10, 1866 with bold penned signatures of Andrew Johnson and Edwin M. Stanton as Sec'y of War. Minor aging with the ink inscriptions and entries fading but still visible. Original paper seal. Some minor folds (but no tears, nothing serious) easily flattened out. A small fading inscription near bottom also indicates that at the time Albee was with the 36'th U.S. Colored Infantry.
