John C. Haskell (1841-1906), joined the army in early April, 1861, and served with great distinction in battle. He lost an arm at Gaines Mill, was on Longstreet's staff and was with Lee at Appomattox. Typed Letter Signed, "John C. Haskell", 1p., 1893 of President of Railroad stationery. William W. Garth (1828-1912) was promoted to Lt. Colonel and served on Longstreet's staff. Signed card "Wm. W. Garth, Huntsville Ala."
