A good war-date Confederate "Certificate Recommending Extension of Furlough" partly-printed form, 1p. oblong 8vo., issued to Private George D. Robey, Co. I, 6th Kentucky Regiment, Salisbury, N. C., March 6, 1865, because, "he is suffering from gunshot wound [received at the battle of Dallas, Ga., 5/28/64] of the stomach-unhealed & unable to travel." Signed extending Roby's furlough for another thirty days by C. S. A. Surgeon J. W. Hall and Asst. Surgeon Julius C. Blakeney 61st North Carolina. Overall VG.
