A great pair of Lovell, (Portsmouth Grove, U. S. A. General Hospital, Rhode Island), signatures of head Surgeon John H. Hammond and his wife, hospital nurse, Annie Hammond, both from the same autograph album, dated June 15th, 1865. A rare pair of a husband and wife signatures who served the unfortunate Union soldiers and are possibly the only pair that exist from the Civil War era! Both near fine.
