Confederate Soldier's 2pp. letter with original cover, written by Private A.J. James, 4th South Carolina Cavalry. Datelined, Camp Pritchard, 29 March 1863. In part, "I am very much surprised that you are still trying to put that money on me yet as I never had that money and don't intend to take it back and send you more ... I can prove that I never had such money ... don't waste anymore of your time writing me as I am not afraid of you as I want you to be cautious how you talk about me as I will be with you soon ..."
