Autograph Letter Signed “Moses Daulton” 2p. folio, October 24, 1805, Maysville, with integral leaf addressed to Mr. William Sims at Union Courthouse, South Carolina, and reads in part: “...Warren Hall...is our cousin...Immediately after his arrival at this place your advertisement was discovered i nthe Kentucky Gazette by the said [Sanford] Carrell. I obsevered that Hall must be the person alluded to in that advertisement....Hall at this time had the Negro and two mares at Carrells mothers ...Carrell employed four men to go out to his fathers where the said Hall was...while they were securing him the Negro ran off. They took the said Hall before Benjamin Boyles a Justice of Mason County & State of Kentucky at which time the said Boyles committed him...Hall and the Negro is now in the neighbourhood ofGeorge Town Kentucky and might be taken with very little trouble...” VG.
