Card, RADICAL LOVE FOR THE SOLDIER, 2 pages, 3" x 4 1/8", ca. 1869. Published by Democrats opposing John W. Geary's bid for the governorship of Pennsylvania, this card features a cartoon on the front which shows black soldiers as receiving three times the bounty of white soldiers. The disparity, explained on the verso, is, of course, the fault of Geary and his fellow Radicals. VG condition.
