Archive of 3 Autograph Letters Signed "G. Friedrich", 16 pages, octavo, 1863 -1864, Texas and Louisiana. A very rare group of letters in German from Rebel camps near Alexandria, Louisiana and Brazoria County, Texas. A margin notation on one letter shows the author to be "Gustav Friedrich, Captain Mosely's Texas Battrie of Artillery General Whartons Cavalry Brigade Shreveport, Louisiana". Interestingly, a Gustav Friedrich also appears in the roster of a Confederate Zouave regiment from Louisiana that saw extensive service in Virginia. Light stains and aging, else VG condition.
