WOLF, Simon (1836-1923) Lawyer, author, publicist and communal worker. President of B’nai B’rith (1904-05) he founded the Hebrew Orphan’s Home in Atlanta, Georgia, and was its lifelong president. He helped broker the merger between the Board of Delegates of American Israelites with the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. Partly-printed deed signed, “S. Wolf” as recorder for the District of Columbia, with several words in his hand. Dated March 20, 1878, 2p. folio. Fine.
