Pair of official Ku Klux Klan documents from their Department of Investigation for the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, the first is a Typed Letter Signed, 1p. quarto, on their letterhead, Atlanta, Georgia, February 9, 1922, and reads “It has been reported to us from authentic sources that the Kahn Tailoring Company, manufacturers of men’s clothing, have taken their line away from all Distributors whom they know to be, or suspect of being members of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Klansmen should bear this in mind when it becomes necessary to patronize clothing establishments…” VG…plus; Typed Document Signed, 1p. folio, OFFICIAL BULLETIN #34, in part: “…Here is an example of what our Jewish friends will do when they find that they have the power of numbers. In New York there is a College known as Hunter College, which is a free institution, paid for out of the city taxes but controlled by a Board of Trustees….There are two Jewish societies for the young ladies attending that College. One is known as the ‘Menora’ the other as the ‘Zionist Club.’ It is reported recently the young Jewish women who are members of these clubs, (and all of the members of that race who attend that College are members of either one or the other of the clubs) got up a petition to the Faculty to include in the curriculum the study of the Hebrew language…In a town in Alabama there is a school for boys operated by an order of priests…These shops are owned by priests and they, being a German community, have imported German men and women to settle and inhabit their town. No negroes are permitted to live in this town, nor are any permitted to enter this town except as messangers for firms who supply necessitites to various shops and then only long are they permitted to enter and leave as soon as they have transacted the business of their employers…” VG.
