Partially printed document, one page, folio, December 28, 1797, Middletown, Connecticut. William Savage's brig, Daphne, sailed from New London, Connecticut for the Caribbean under this comprehensive insurance policy covering "Adventures and Perils" such as "...the Seas, Men of War, Fire, Enemies, Pirates, Rovers, Thieves...". A manuscript note on the verso, however questions the validity of the policy since the ship deviated from its approved course during the voyage. Light marginal stains, else Fine condition.
