Autograph Letter Signed, “Harvey Brown” 2p. quarto, August 6, 1822, St. Augustine, East Florida, with integral leaf addressed to General Jessup in Washington with straight line ‘ST. AUGUSTINE’ date stamp, it reads in part: “...I am surprised that the Asst. Surgeon should have represented to you, that there were not comfortable accomodations for the sick at this Post. The building at present occupied as a hospital is the one known as teh flour stone, and is, in my opinion, a very comfortable one...” Letter has separated at spine, elseAbout VG.
