Photograph album, 28 pages, folio, 1909 - ca. 1930, Germany. Inscribed in German to "Our Dear Parents", this album contains remarkable series of nearly 100 mostly engineering photographs. The first 25 images date to 1909 and pertain to Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin (1838-1917) and his airships. The famous inventor is shown in at least three of the photos. There are other extraordinary views of early zeppelins in flight, docking, and in hangars. The later images in the album show bridges, tunnels, and railroads. Alongside each picture is pasted a manuscript caption. The binding of this old album is loose and some of the images and/or captions have come free of the pages. Aging and wear, else Good condition.
