Van Valkenburg in Philadelphia, bearing a franking by Roosevelt. The letter reads in part: “...You will know what happiness the meetings of January sixth mean to me- to live the days ahead....I wish we could have kept Mr Abbott’s speech; after all it is in our hearts...” Fine.
