KENNEDY, John F. (1917-1963) 35th U.S. president. U.S. Congressman (1947-1961) defeated Nixon in the 1960 election, by a popular vote of 49.7% to 49.5%. During his administration the country went through the Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Berlin Crisis, the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Twenty-third Amendment was ratified. He was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963. Signed Photograph, 8"x10" black and white, signed by Kennedy "With best wishes by - John F. Kennedy" image depicts Presidential nominee John F. Kennedy, standing beside Governor G. Mennon Williams, who has also signed the photograph "To C. Wesley Sanford All the Best Mennon Williams. Verso has notations stating that the photo was taken October 14, 1960, and was signed for a bodyguard of Kennedy's, who was the original owner of this photo. Accompanied by second photograph, 10"x8", of the same engagment. Signed photo is mounted to foam board, else both are Fine. (2 items)
