Autograph Letter Signed "Orin O Wright", 3 pages, quarto, April 22, 1850, "Indian Territory oposite St. Jos" to his sister, location unknown. While in eastern Kansas en route to the California gold fields, a prospector writes in small part: "...we were traveling from Cincinnati to St. Louis got sick enough of River traveling I assure you...tell Father that if I make anything in California I shall send him some shiners as soon as possible...we expect to start from here in about two weeks...". Small splits and minor stains, else Fine condition.
