Autograph Letter Signed “Geo J Disinger”, 3 pages, quarto, April 24, 1859, Richmond, Kansas Territory to James R. Compton, Lockport, New York. The letter reads in part: “...I have seen a good deal of this western world since I left Lockport some parts of it I like very much and ther parts I dont like so well ...all the objections that I have to Kansas is timber is so very scarce...you can travel twenty miles and not see a stick large enough to make a cane...we have bought 4 Indian Poines to ride and they are as nice as they can be...I have a Mustang Stud that I paid $35 Dollars for that can mark a mile in 4 minutes...”. Complete with a stamped cover having a hand cancelation. Fine condition.
