Early American Bond, March 2, 1738, Kingston, 12" X 7.5", Fine. William Cook, yeoman, from the County of Plymouth, is obliged to Elisha Hall, of the county of Barnstable for fifty pounds, to be repaid by September 2, 1739. Witnessed by Thomas W. Hull and James Hovey. The signatures of Cook and Hall have been torn from the bottom right of the document. Several names are on verso but have been marked out, the only one remaining being Mary.
