INGRAHAM, Duncan Nathaniel (1802-1891) was an officer in the United States Navy who later served in the Confederate States Navy. He resigned from the U.S. Navy 4 February 1861 to enter the Confederate States Navy with the rank of captain. He served as Chief of the Ordnance Bureau from 1861 to 1863, and as Commandant of the Charleston naval station from 1862 to 1865.Autograph Letter Signed, 1pp., Bureau of Ordinance, April 17, 1856, to Captain Knap, Fort Pitt Foundry.
