Manuscript Document Signed, 1pp. oblong quarto, January 19, 1856, and reads in part: "…we promise to pay Francis Kerby one hundred dollars for the hire of Negro boy Brice for the year 1856, also bind ourselves to furnish said boy with the following clothing two shirts of good strong cloth and two pair of pants of the same material. Also one pair of pants and coat of good woolen jeans two pair of woolen socks on pair double sealed brogan shoes one blanket worth two dollars also one wool hat, pay his tax one year.
