Autograph Document Signed, "Moses Reed" 1p. quarto, Bedford County, Penna., August 19, 1780, and reads in part: "...Appeared before me one of the Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid Bound Mooney & Peter Smith and did acknowledge themselves indebted to the State of Pennsylvania two thousand pounds each...The condition of this recongisance is such that if the above named John Shavorer doth appear at the next Con. Court...and there give in evidence before the court against Nicklous Leatch Concerning his treasonous way of talking and thinking against the States..." VG.
