This authentic Revolutionary War Era Cast Iron Cannon in very solid condition. These were used for Salute Cannons and/or as a Powder Tester. This example measures 6” tall with a 1.25” bore. The top is 2.25” hexagon and its base is 3” hexagon. They are solid Iron that is very heavy (about 5.5 lbs). It is of a square design with chamfered corners and is ignited by a small touch hole near the base. This example has an overall even natural rich metal patina.
