Thomas Preston and his men for firing on inhabitants of Boston in the "Boston Massacre" in 1770, delegate to the Provincial congress in 1774-75, and to the Continental congress from 1774-78, Massachusetts attorney-general in 1780-90, and Supreme Court justice from 1790 to 1804. Manuscript Document Signed, “R.T. Paine” as attorney, 1p. oblong quarto, November 1, 1778, Newton, Bristol County, in part: “The Jurors for the Commonwealth the Massachusetts upon this oath present that Elizabet Morey...did committ fornication with a man to the Jurors unknown...” Witnessed. VG.
