An original impressive Civil War Union 19th Corps Badge, all with beautiful and artistically decorative engraved borders. Measures about 1-1/4” x 1-1/2” with the initials “IHN” engraved in the center of the cross. The Union XIX Corps served most of the war in Louisiana and the East Texas-Gulf Area, the Red River Campaign, and part of the corps was in the Shenandoah Valley operations with General Sheridan. This great looking Corps Badge is very appealing. The upper portion bar still retains its original period pin upon reverse.
