Cabinet Card, circa 1888. 4.25" x 6". A sepia-toned bust portrait of Alderman, a Confederate veteran and Company "C" Texas Ranger, signed on the verso: "Fred Alderman / Wharton Texas / April - 1888." Alderman, born in North Carolina in 1856, died in Wharton eleven years after this photograph. Very mild foxing, rich image.
