A lengthy 16 page article “Memoirs of the Holy Land - Mount Sinai,” with 9 illustrations including a map “The Wilderness of Sinai, The Sinai Mountains, Giving of the Law, ... and more. ... plus, Bound Volume of Harpers New Monthly Magazine, January 1857, 144pp., disbound, VG. A lengthy 22 page article “To Medina and Mecca,” replete with 18 illustrations. Most interesting is is a schematic “Plan of the Haram, or the Prophet’s Mosque at Medina” with a key of 29 points. Al-Masjid Al-Haram or the "Grand Mosque" is located in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the largest mosque in the world and surrounds one of Islam's holiest places, the Kaaba.
