Newspaper, “The Pennsylvania Packet”, 4p. folio, December 28, 1779, with war content, including a Bill submitted through Thomas Paine, titled “An Act for the preservation of buildings, erected upon the lands of diver inhabitants of this Commonwealth for the use of the United States...” as well as extracts from letters that were “found on board a vessel lately taken on her passage from St. Augustine to Antigua” some with interesting content. Also includes several advertisements, including one by Robert Bell who offers a “Thirty Dollars Reward.” for a lost “stictched pamphlet, covered with marbled paper, entituled ‘Thoughts on the Conduct of the war in the Middle Colonies, during the campaigns of 1776, 1777, and 1778...” VG.
