Autograph Letter Signed "D.C. Salisbury", 8" x 5-1/2", 2pp, Old Fort Sunday Sept 29 ('72) to Col. Saml W.D. Tate. In full, "The Old Fort Mills were entirely destroyed by fire last night about 9:00, undoubtedly the work of incendiary - "but no Ku Klux" loss about $3500. Will you be at home tomorrow if so please drop me a line by train. I want to see you. Please say in your note what is the very lowest price you will charge me per 100 for some turnips I ship over the road to Salisbury and Charlotte.
