Manuscript Document being a tax filing, including four slaves in Virginia, April 1, 1815, it reads: "A list of lands with their improvements dwelling houses and slaves owned by John McCrab on the first day of April, 1815 the first district of Virginia, Washington. 6 by 105 higt - 1 farm on Sinking Creek containing 400 acres - 1 dwelling house, log 28 feet wide, 2 stories high, 1 thatchers barn, 1 for horses $6 per acre - $2400 - 2 male slaves between 12 & 50 $850 - 1 male slave under 12 $250 - 1 female slave between 12 & 50 $300 - (total) $1,400 1400 ------ (grand total) $3,800" and Signed by McCrab on the back as an endorsement. Fine condition.
