Autograph Document Signed “John Campbell AQM” 1pp. folio, West Point, November 12, 1783, and reads: “...This may certify that there was cut on the lands said to belong to Mr. Arthur Conolly on the north side of the Dunderbergh, Seventy six pieces of timber eighteen feet long and four inches diameter at the smallest end, for which he is entitled to receive three pounds sixteen shillings also fifteen hundred poles not exceeding three inches thick & from twelve to fifteen feet long, for which he is entitled to receive nine pounds from the quarter master general. The above timber & poles were cut by order of Genl. Knox for the Colonnade in the month of August 1783....” Docketed on verso by Revolutionary War Captain David Wolfe (1758-1836) “The land within mentioned does not belong to Arthur Conolly.” Fine condition.
