Two Engravings, each 7-1/2” x 4-3/4,” withdrawn from a book, c1850’s. The first, “Trial of Affection” shows a slave with his hands tied together and raised above his head. The overseer is instructing another who is holding a whip. ... plus, “Emancipation” shows a white boy and a black boy, each bound, as a young girl with a knife enters to free them. Minor damage, paper roll upper right margin.
