c. 1830 Mid 19th Century, Excellent Quality Miniature Watercolor Portrait of President George Washington, measuring 3" x 2.5", Framed, Extremely Fine. A beautiful colorful Miniature Bust Portrait is of George Washington as President, Painted in Watercolor, showing Washington dressed in his formal civilian attire. This well executed original Painting is bright with a crisp sharp image and pleasing background. There is some trivial wear to the extreme outer exterior edges from simple frame rub, to the decorative small gilt wooden frame measuring to 4.5" x 5" no artist signature, date or place, as typical. This historic Portrait painting is on a thin shaved natural white organic material as often commonly used for quality miniature portraits painted during the Federal period.
