Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), Document Signed, "Abraham Lincoln", as President; Washington, [D.C.], ca. February 1, 1865. 1 page, engrossed on vellum. Co-signed by Hannibal Hamlin as Vice President of the United States, President of the Senate Schuyler Colfax as Speaker of the House, and 147 U.S. Senators and Congressmen. This copy is one of 13 known, 11 of which are held in institutions. This document has been in the hands of a private collector since 1984. The last copy of a Lincoln signed 13th amendment reportedly sold at $1,000,000.
