Official Manuscript Confederate Army of Northern Virginia Document, 1pp., "Confederate States Army, Pettigrew's Brigade, Camp French, November 27, 1862, "In part, "In obedience to Special Order No. 25th the undersigned proceeded this day to estimate the damages done to the property of Thomas Dunn, of Chesterfield County Virginia, near the city of Petersburg...". The document then continues with four lines listing various damage including plank loss totaling $1329.80. The claim is signed by Captain "W(illiam) D. Bradford", Gettysburg, Pickett's Charge POW Captain "Jos(eph) J. Davis", "G" Co. NC 47th Infantry, exchanged 2/25/1865 City Point, VA, and "R(hett) R.S. Lawrence", on 4/3/1862 he was commissioned into "K" Co. NC 44th Infantry, wounded (date and place not stated), hospitalized 5/11/1864 Richmond, VA., furloughed 6/10/1864 (place not stated). VG
