Program Booklet, 9" x 6," 48pp., plus separate cover, "Official Programme of Daily Events," for the Cotton Exposition, Atlanta, 1895. On page 4, Special Days include Talks by Methodist Episcopal Church (colored), and on December 26th "American Association of Educators of Colored Youth. Also on page 48 we note the photo and description of the "Negro Building." Some spotting. The 1895 Cotton States and International Exposition was held at the current Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. It is most remembered for the speech given by Booker T. Washington on September 18, 1895. His "Atlanta Compromise" address, as it came to be called, was one of the most important and influential speeches in American history (not referenced in this booklet).
