Two Newspapers, Frank Leslie's Illustrated, November 22, 1862 and December 6, 1862, complete issues, 16pp., disbound, loose at spine else VG. War date issue with reports and engravings of the War. From the 22nd issue, an important center spread "An Anglo-Rebel Prison - Hold of the British Pirate Steamer Alabama, Capt. Semmes, in Which Were Confined ...." Shows the Federal officers chained in the hull of the ship. Fascinating British reference to this famous Confederate ship. And from the 6th issue, a full page engraving "Delaware Indians Acting as Scouts for the National Army." Note, this paper was issued with 4-page foldouts which were cut during the binding process.
