Stereoview Card of John Burns who is best known as the "Hero of Gettysburg". The grizzly old veteran of the War of 1812 was the only citizen of the town who dared face the Rebel army alongside Union troops. Wounded during the battle, he appears here while recuperating outside his home. In the background are his crutches, and the flintlock musket he used during the battle. Fine
