The obverse displays a bearded, draped Lincoln profile and is encircled with words "ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES," 1862, and below the profile, "S. ELLIS. DEL. SC." On the reverse, scalping scene, a quiver with arrows, a bow around a center vignette of an Indian in feathered-headdress plowing, baseball game in progress, church and ships behind, identified as "J. WILLSON .DEL. &. SC." Hole at top, 2-/12"diameter (62.8mm. Rims 4.0 - 4.4mm thick. 1,444.7 guns), very light patina on face, reverse has been polished, extremely fine.
