Autograph Letter Signed, “James Spinks” 1p. quarto, Alexandria, January 23, 1855, with integral address to the Richmond slave dealers “Dickenson & Hill”, it reads: “...When I left Richmond I forgot to say to you that I did not want that cook to be sold to any one that would bring him back to Alexandria or that would sell him for that purpose...if you have an opportunity of selling him before I get there that he is not to come back here under any circumstances...” VG.
