Photograph of magician F.E. Powell performing a trick, 5-1/2”x8”, with inscription on verso “Sincerely your friend F.E. Powell”. By Bushnell of San Francisco. Fine. Frederick Eugene Powell (1856-1938) combined with the famed Jewish magician Imro Fox and Servais LaRoy to form “The Great Triple Alliance” in 1898. The trio would tour from 1898 to 1900.
